Mission/Purpose
Our Mission is to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the natural history, resources and habitat of Kentucky, with particular emphasis on promoting environmental education and recreation fishing to the public.
Our purpose is to plan, promote and conduct fishing events for children; promote the proper use and preservation of Kentucky streams, rivers and lakes for fishing and provide environmental education programs to the public.
We also serve an important role as an advocate for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. We secure resources needed for the hatchery, and serve as a liaison between the hatchery and local, state, and federal officials.
